I always assumed that once I got married I’d have a cute little house to decorate at Christmas time. This year Christopher is at school and I’m here so we don’t have a house of our own, but that hasn’t stopped me from thinking about how I would decorate if I could.
I think these three trees are just lovely. There is a slight problem with the first two, however- they have no star on top! During one of our brief phone calls I asked Christopher if he would prefer a star or an angel atop our tree. Thank goodness he said star. I felt so much better after that conversation because I believe it is a very important topic.
We are off to a very good start in the ornament department. Judging by all the boxes I packed when we were moving in October, I’d say we have nearly 30. That makes me so happy because I love Christmas ornaments! Here are just a few of them.
1. from our honeymoon at the Trapp Family Lodge
2. a stetson from Christopher’s mother
3. the star I bought in Kennebunkport
4. a button ornament made for me by Anna and Jillian
5. the cowboy boot I bought in Phoenix last Christmas
6. the dove Christopher gave me for my birthday (I love this bird so much that it’s out for all seasons)
7. I bought this ornament last Christmas because I DO love my soldier.
8. Our newest ornament! I got it in an ornament swap from Mrs. Smith. It’s so cute.
I can’t wait to pick out our very first Christmas tree together!
I love your imaginary house(s)! They are so elegant!
pretty pretty pretty!!!
We have a home. . .but ZERO budget for pretty Christmas things. I will need to post what we do have next week, but it is just not enough I want a house FULL of CHRISTmas!!!
